It’s that time again, as we get down rhythmically on Thursday, 31st October, from 5 PM to 11 PM, at the BBE Store in Hackney as Lost in the Rhythm takes over the venue with an evening dedicated to deep, soulful, spiritual and afro-infused dance music. Hosting the night is Lost in the Rhythm founder, label head and broadcaster Rob Coley, alongside two key members from the extended tribe, Shukie and The Pappafunk. Expect an immersive experience as we dive deep into their vinyl collections to spin an electric blend of timeless rhythms across the soulful house, disco and jazz spectrum. For this session, we are excited to present a special guest from London, Canada, Zahra Shakti, who is making her UK debut behind the turntables. An acclaimed DJ and musical curator, Zahra is known for her deep, cosmic sets that aim to elevate the dancefloor. Over the past few years, her Lunar Rotations radio show and work with the TD Sunfest World Music Festival have earned her a global reputation, making her an emerging force within the worldwide music scene. Zahra will surely bring her unique blend of artistry and energy to proceedings, and we cannot wait to add her to the evening vibe. Join us for this exclusive event as we celebrate good music, community ties and dance culture.
